[edit] Welcome
Welcome to my discussion page. I would be glad to open or continue a discussion with you. Just start a new heading. I will not repeat here what I may have said on your discussion page in response. For various reasons I will delete your responses after they seem no longer relevant.
Thank you and happy editing. Dave 02:03, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

| The Working Wikipedian's Barnstar | ||
| Amidst the tremendous amount of drivel and fluff afflicting Celtic and Gaulish studies like a cancer – particularly on the internet – I was charmed and delighted to read Wikipedia's article on the Vangiones, to which you have contributed so much. Your clear presentation and solid, meticulous approach to the sources does great honour to Wikipedia. Bravo! Q·L·1968 ☿ 14:48, 6 August 2007 (UTC) |

[edit] Etruscans taskforce
I'm looking into creating a taskforce to improve the quality of articles relating to the Etruscan civilization. Since I've seen your name in several Etruscan related article histories I thought you might be interested in joining. Best wishes/ Pax:Vobiscum (talk) 00:19, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cornelia Africana Major
You did some editing on Scipio Africanus. His first daughter was Cornelia Africana Major. I am not able to find much information on her, while there is lots of information on Cornelia Africana Minor, his second daughter - mother of the Gracchi brothers. Started the article today, however need additional information to expand it. Do you have any ideas where to find details on Cornelia Africana Major?--Doug Coldwell talk 14:19, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Publius Cornelius Scipio Salvito
Hi Dave. Back in February 2009 you commented on the article Publius Cornelius Scipio Salvito. I have little or no interest in disentangling this mess, but if you do, see this note by Jerzy Linderski for a possible starting point. Cynwolfe (talk) 21:34, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Etrusca

[edit] Boii
Hey there, do you have a ref for the Boii in Galatia? It's news to me, but I'm happy to learn more. Cheers, Trigaranus (talk) 08:47, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- No need to rush it at all - it's just that I have only ever heard of Tectosages, Trocmii and Tolistobogii in Galatia, never of Boii as such. The name might well be related (as in Rübekeil, Kontaktzone, p. 97: Tolisto-Boii - "the toughest Boii"), but that is the only link to the Boii (or rather a shared onomastic element) that I know of. If there is not more in the ancient sources (Livy, Ptolemy), Boii in Galatia should be taken with a grain of salt. Trigaranus (talk) 20:50, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Hylo hello again
Hi. You may remember me from a discussion we had about the Hylomorphism article. I've since come to the conclusion that the article is currently in a rather shabby condition and should be overhauled. Thus, I've put together a draft for a revised article and posted it on my user page. As you may notice, the draft discusses only Aristotelian hylomorphism. I believe that the article Theory of forms adequately discusses Plato's hylomorphism (or, if it doesn't, then it should). And, at any rate, when modern philosophers debate the merits of "hylomorphism" as an alternative to materialism and dualism, they're generally talking about Aristotelian hylomorphism. And I feel that combining Platonic and Aristotelian hylomorphism into a single article makes things unnecessarily confusing. (Many of the remarks about "hylomorphism" in the current article apply only to Aristotelian hylomorphism, compounding the confusion.) Anyhow, I'd appreciate your feedback on my draft, if you have any. --Phatius McBluff (talk) 07:10, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, and please post any feedback on the talk page for Hylomorphism. Thanks! --Phatius McBluff (talk) 07:12, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

- Yo. I updated the article using a revised version of my draft and renamed it Hylomorphism (Aristotelian). No more angels, by the way. If you're interested, check it out. I wonder if we should create a separate page for Hylomorphism (medieval)... --Phatius McBluff (talk) 18:40, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
