I had found Wikipedia in several searches for various topics of interest without ever really knowing what it was. One day I noticed the "edit this page" tab and thought for sure that I had some how found a hacked site that was giving everyone access to edit the site. That's when I did a little more looking and discovered the wiki concept.

[edit] Areas I like to work on:

• Science updates - adding the latest science findings
• Protected areas - National, state and local parks, monuments, etc.
• United States Federal Government institutions (NOAA, NASA, etc.)
• Recent changes patrol

[edit] Currently working on

• Fact checking and referencing statistics for United States states and cities (e.g. populations, elevations, etc.)
• Alphabetizing categories for States of the United States. (e.g., items for Idaho that are listed as Idaho <insert type of category here> is alphabetized under <category type> instead of under I for Idaho.)
• Recategorizing stubs under Category:Company stubs as it has become very large and many companies are not specifically categorized under the most appropriate stubs.
