Talk:Daoguang Emperor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Why are we using pinyin for historical names? This Ta Tsing emperor was known in English as Taukwang. Ta Tsing signed numerous treaties with other countries. The official language was Manchu and the English versions of treaties read "Taokwang". We should not take such a sinocentric approach in historical articles.Alamoana (talk) 06:35, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
