Stavoren (West Frisian: Starum) is a small town on the coast of the IJsselmeer, about 5km south of Hindeloopen. It lies within the municipality of Nijefurd. Because Stavoren was granted city rights in the 11th century, it is counted as one of the eleven cities in Friesland.

During summer a ferry for pedestrians and cyclists operates between Stavoren and Enkhuizen.
