The Office for Official Publications of the European Communities (Publications Office) is an inter-institutional service of the European Union, though often incorrectly referred to as a Directorate-General of the European Commission.

The Publications Office produces and distributes official publications for European Union bodies. There is completely free access to European Union law on the "EUR-Lex" website, and the vast majority of the publications on the website "EU Bookshop" are orderable free of charge and available as freely-downloadable PDF documents.
