Polkowice [pɔlkɔˈvit͡sɛ] ( listen) (German: Polkwitz, 1937–1945 Heerwegen) is a town in south-western Poland with 22,279 inhabitants (2006). It is situated in Lower Silesian Voivodeship (from 1975–1998 it was in the former Legnica Voivodeship). It is the seat of Polkowice County and of the smaller administrative district called Gmina Polkowice.

The town is located in an industrial copper-mining area, with a copper-processing plant operating nearby.

The region passed to Poland from Germany in 1945 following decisions approved at the Potsdam Conference. For more information on the general history of the region, see Silesia.
