The National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC) is the former name of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities (APLU). The association's new name became effective March 30, 2009.[1] It is the oldest higher-education association within the US. Current membership consists of 214 public universities. APLU is considered a "presidential" association since basic membership is directed toward university presidents.
In partnership American Association of State Colleges and Universities, APLU is developing the Voluntary System of Accountability to help institutions assess and report their performance.
