Ⱪona Yeziⱪ ("old script") is the Arabic alphabet, as used for writing the Uyghur language.
It has two forms:
- the Chagatai script, a modified Perso-Arabic script used for writing Chagatai and Uyghur from the Middle Ages until 1969;
- a modification of this, known as Uyghur Ereb Yéziqi, used from the mid-1980s till the present day.
