Crin Antonescu (born 21 September 1959) is a Romanian politician, who served as Minister of Youth and Sports between 1997, and 2000, in the three cabinets formed by the Romanian Democratic Convention (CDR) between 1996 and 2000. He is the elected president of the National Liberal Party, and member of the Senate since 2008, where he was elected for the 2008 Autumn session Vice President of the Senate. Between 1996 and 2008 he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies, where he was the leader of the party's group between 2005 and 2008.
