Clapton F.C. (formed in 1878) are an English association football club, who play in Forest Gate, East London, England (although they were originally from Clapton, which is several miles to the west). They were one of the founding members of the Southern League in 1893. Their home stadium was The Spotted Dog Ground, which from at least 1893 until 1902 was the venue for the final of the West Ham Charity Cup.

Clapton, nickamed 'The Tons' joined the Isthmian League upon its establishment. Champions twice in the early years, they spent many years in the lower reaches of the league since WWII. In the 2005/06 season they played in the Second Division, but lost their place with the 2006 re-structuring of the non-league set-up. They currently play in the Essex Senior League.

Clapton should not be confused with Clapton Orient, which was the former name of Leyton Orient, between 1888 and 1946. In April 1902 Clapton Orient won the West Ham Charity Cup by beating Clapton F.C. 1-0 at The Spotted Dog Ground.
